$725 SHIPPED!!!
Up for sale is an ever so slightly used Japanese Fender 75 Reissue Jazz Bass. The bass features an alder body, rosewood fretboard with binding and inlays, vintage radius neck (7.25", I believe), USA vintage pickups, micro-tilt adjuster, and a matching headstock. Very classy. It’s in near mint condition and there is very little (if any) fretwear. Tonally, the bass has deep lows, punchy low mids, and crisp highs. It weighs 9.8 pounds. The serial number dates this bass to around 2004-2005 and it comes with a Fender gig bag. I installed Dunlop StrapLoks on the bass, but I’ll include the original strap buttons as well.
This bass is a non-export model meaning that they are only available in Japan or through Japanese/European retailers. This particular model is arguably the nicest of the Fender Japan line of basses and is currently selling in the upper one thousands (USD) overseas. Here’s a chance to get a very clean version for a steal of a price without having to pay for international shipping!
I just recently bought it on eBay, but have subsequently realized that, as I already have another Jazz Bass (a Geddy Lee), the money would be better spent on another cabinet for my DB 750.
Sorry, but no trades on this one.
Also, HUGE apologies for the cell phone pics. I don’t own a digital camera, but trust me, the bass is truly flawless.
Thanks for looking and shoot me a PM if you’re interested!

The bass is black with a deep red tortoise shell pickguard.

I used to have one. Great, great, bass!
PS What is the weight anyway? |

Thanks for the bump too. It's a really nice instrument; I just have one too many!

One of the TB'ers above said he may be willing to trade his GS 412 for this bass which would be like "whoa" in terms of tone, as well as "whoa" in terms of luck/timing .

I just don't play the big stages anymore.

I just don't play the big stages anymore. | Don't feel rushed. I had a guy on Atlanta Craigslist inquire about the bass for his son, but I haven't heard from him in a few days. I figure he's probably gone with another instrument by now, so you're first in line.
And like I said, don't let the (understandably) outrageous cost of shipping the cab be too much of an issue. If you decide to go ahead with the trade, we can talk about how to work it out.
