FS: Fender Jazz Bass American Vintage AV62 olympic white

PLEASE, NO TRADES except: 2008+ Fender American Standard Jazz Bass V oly white/rosewood.

I am at a difficult crossroads where i'm considering moving to a 5-string. I play a fair amount of gospel and newer R&B stuff, where those 5 extra low notes make a big difference. I have a 4 string (passive) P-bass, and my 4 string passive jazz could be replaced by a 5-string passive jazz, and also fulfill my need for a low B string. Therefore, i'm forced to sell my beloved AV62 jazz bass.

It's 8.8 lbs, olympic white finish, and has been upgraded with Curtis Novak pickups. They sound exactly the same as Lollars, but were cheaper and also hand-wound, so I went with them. THE vintage jazz bass sound, for sure.

There are a few dings here and there, and a few finish chips. Also, the pickguard shows some swirling and fingernail scratches from slapping. Basically looks like "mojo" in a few places.

Original owner. Comes with original G&G case, keys, all the case candy and original receipt, save for the chrome pickup cover, bridge "F" pickup cover, and the original mutes/screws.

$1000 shipped paypal preferred SOLD!

Hard to see, but here is a lil dent:

Hey what's up man. Ya know, i will regret it, but i need a five for some gigs nowadays, and this is the best option i have towards getting one. She's a sweet bass. I just wish fender offered a 5 string bass with all the vintage appointments that are featured on the AV62 models, but alas, i guess that's what the boutique world is for.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your own AV62 as long as you have it

The 62ri is my main player. It's just so thick and present. I also have a fretless jazz, a Kinal P-bass and a five-string Sadowsky UV70 which I gigged a few times last week. It's cool in a very different way, wider, brighter and kinda softer. Yes, it goes lower... But the 62ri is the real deal. If you have to sell, well, good luck!

Is this the same bass that you reliced the neck/hardware mentioned in another thread?

It's actually a different bass, but the exact same specs as the relic'd one -- oly white/rosewood

No sorry man, the original pickups are gone. You can get them here though (and even cheaper elsewhere).
