FS: Fender Jazz Bass CS NOS '63 — One-off Lake Placid Blue

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello. I'm new to the forum. I'm selling my 6˝-year-old Fender Custom Shop NOS '63 Jazz. Hate to but need the $$$. Bought it brand new. I'm the original owner.

I haven't gigged with this bass going on 2 years now. It's been resting calmly in the original case (in a smoke-free home I might add). Stopped playing it because I bought a NYC UV-4 Sadowsky that looks just like it.

The bass just oozes classic looks. Lake Placid Blue with matching headstock. Nitro-cellulose finish. Parchment white 3 ply pickguard.

Thin neck. Low action. Plays fast—and smooth. Lightweight: 9 pounds. Alder. Maple neck. Beautiful rosewood board. Clay dots. Kick-ass sound. Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups. The backside of the neck is smooth with no nicks or dents.

The body and headstock have a few nicks here and there, but all very, very minor. Comes in the original brown tolex HSC with gold interior. Both bridge and PU covers included.

No trades please. For sale only.

$2,100 shipped CONUSA.

OOOH/AAAH

That thing is so clean I'm afraid to look at it. And THAT is my definition of LPB. Faded blue jeans blue, w/a slight hint of metalflake. Beautiful.

Wow, that is just beautiful. I wish I had the funds! I have an FSR Jazz in white with a matching headstock, a CAR 75 RI Jazz with a matching headstock - this one would complete my dream team!

A good luck free bump!

Thanks for the oohs and ahhhhs. I forgot to mention that the reason I said one-off Lake Placid Blue in the title was the fact that I only know of one other CS NOS '63 Jazz Bass and it's in Candy Apple Red. So... as far as I know, this is the only CS NOS '63 Jazz in LPB matching headstock.
