2000 Fender Jazz Bass, made in the USA!
Ash body, natural finish
Maple neck
8.6 lbs
A previous owner must have had some issues with it... or anger control... or something, because as you can see in the pictures, there are some sizable chunks of clearcoat missing and some very deep gouges. This bass was not relic'd, it was beaten up. There are dings and scratches along the edge, as well. And cracks in the clearcoat at the bass of the neck.
I wouldn't guess any sort of "Pete Townshend-esqe" action, but it was definitely injured.
However, the bass is structurally sound, it's a USA Jazz bass, and if you don't care about the looks (or like them even!), it's a great deal for the player.
It's been cleaned up, set up with some newer strings and is ready to play. I bought this bass to show it the love it needs to make it grand again. But as I'm summing up the damages, I feel like I should try to pass it along to someone with more time and skills...
If you like a project (maybe want to try a refin?!), it's perfect for that as well. That's what I was going to do, but I think I need to concentrate efforts on my upcoming nuptuals (and yes, I'd rather refinish a bass

).

NO INTERNATIONAL
NO TRADES

There is NO clearcoat in this shot... that's all raw wood.
Price is pretty solid. I don't need to sell it, but I also don't need to keep it. Eventually, I'd like to tackle a project of this magnitude, but now may not be the best time, so I'm offering it up.
PM if interested!
