For sale, a beautiful 2001 (neck is 2000) MIA Fender Jazz V std. The bass has an ash body, pao-ferro fingerboard and the special white blonde finish that is extremely hard to photograph. This bass plays and sounds beatiful. The action is set up to medium height without fret buzz but i play with a very heavy hand (on roundwound strings) so the action can be set lower. The jazz is equipped with Nordstrand NJ5FS, I also have the original fender single-coil pickups that I can re-install / include. I have the original parchment pickguard, the black one shown, as well as a tortoise shell. This bass is a passive set up V/V/T controls with an angela copper foil paper in oil tone cap. The cavities have been shielded with copper tape. The body has a few nicks and scratches, it is a player's bass but has minimal fretwear as I used flatwounds on it most of the time. It comes with a fresh set of roto nickels. Truss rod, tuners work great. Weighs in at 10lbs on the bathroom scale, it is not light. Included is the OHSC!

Asking $850 excluding extra pickguards and pickups (I can put any of the guards and the original pups back in if you don't want nordys) $950 if you want the extras. Pix upon request.
Shipping continental US only

I will consider 4-string basses, j/j or p/j. Not limited to Fenders. Would love to consider a jaguar + cash.

The B seems ok, the ash body really makes you feel it vibrate. What I found is the strings really make/break the deal with this bass. It is not the best , but not the worst "B" I've played. Admittedly I did not use the B often just for a thumb rest really.

i have 2 of these 1 white blonde the other is natural ash
i have barts in both of mine and john east and audare preamps
these are great basses with awesome necks that have graphite
rods to keep the necks nice and strait .
i am thinking of going passive with the nordstands as well .
this bass should sound awesome with those pickups .
some one should snag this thing with the extras .
cheers B

String balance: with nordys it is quite good . Even output across the strings and up&down the neck.
Weight balance: I have had no issues with neck dive, the bass hangs where it is positioned by you.
