PRICE DROP: $975.00, still includes shipping. Gotta sell this guy, as I have another on the line.
I've only had this a couple weeks, long enough to confirm what I've known for years - that I'm simply not a Precision guy. I keep wanting it to sound like my Jazz. Here's the scoop:
New old stock. All '08 specs; tuners, bridge, neck contour, string-through option, etc. The serial number starts with Z7, but it's an '08 per specs. Very lightweight - 9lbs on the bathroom scale. Alder/rosewood, antique sunburst (darker 3-tone 'burst). The neck feel just grabbed me... it's SO sweet.
It's completely mint. In fact, there are still some little remnants of the pickguard plastic clinging to screws & around the control knobs. I pulled the plastic off myself. It's been Plek'd by Joe Glaser, who sets up all the Plek machines in the US and trains the operators. (All my basses get Plek'd!).
I love the way this bass plays. I thought maybe this would be the Precision I could get next to after all these years, but once again I realize I'm just a Jazz guy. You may have seen recent posts where I solicited advice on adding a Jazz pickup... but I've decided that's not the way to go. Some P-bass lover will dig it just the way it is. Comes with the new style Fender flight-type case and all case candy. $1050.00 $975.00 delivered to con US. Might consider a trade for a Jazz of some sort/make.
