Well I just received this in a partial trade for one of my bass. Its a wonderful bass but Im not fond of black basses. Dont call me racist They are wonderful just not my thing.
I have my jazz bass needs already fulfilled and I wouldnt mind trading for a nice P bass, or a sterling. Ill take all trade offers. You guys know the saying, "worse I can say is NO!!"
Well heres some information about the bass.
-weight: one of the biggest questions asked here on the
classifieds... 8lbs 6oz on my digital scale
-body: came off a 2010 MIA fender highway one. Its black
nitro satin. has some scratches on the back
-neck: came off a 2006 reggie hamilton signature bass
same neck as a classic series 60's bass
solid maple neck with rosewood fretboard and
vintage frets! the nice small ones
I have to say this is one of the best Fender
necks I have every played! It feels GOOD!
-pick ups: came off an American Vintage 62' reissue
cloth wiring and copper shielding plate under
-electronics: V/V/T with a series/parrallel switch
I'm not too sure but the original owner did it.
Pretty sweet mod to get that p-bassy sound
Bass could use more shielding in the cavity
my own personal thoughts
-hardware: vintage threaded style bridge. reverse long
stem tuners, normal strap buttons
will come with 2 pickguards: 1 mint colored by
warmoth and the other is some crazy looking
psychodelic pattern that somewhat resembles
a tort pickguard!
I would much prefer a sale of this bass but I wont refuse a good trade offer.
Also I will consider parting this out too. I will do the body for $300.00 shipped...
Im partial to the neck, it might be something I might keep if someone wants the body. But I will not refuse $$ if someone wants to buy the neck too.
