This is a rare bass that is in high demand at this time. This bass was made in Korea for two years at the Cort Factory for Fender. It is widely believed that the contract was terminated due to the high quality of the instrument hurting US sales. I can attest to the quality, as I have owned a couple of US Fender Basses, and it compares favorably to any I have had. Not a flaw on the the finish and not a single ding after 15 years. The wide neck (2" at the nut) is a little difficult to get used to if you are coming from a 17mm bass, but those who play 19mm instruments will find it is easy to adapt to. The spacing is 19mm, it is just that there is a 1/16 inch more neck on each side after the last string. I used this as a backup for awhile then moved it to my primary bass. I have since scored a great deal on a different bass that I think I will use as backup. This one needs to go. I paid over $300 for it a couple of years ago and drove all the way to Phoenix to get it!
The bass is in Mint condition, true neck, no dings, beautiful finish!
Google the instrument or search here on talkbass and you will see a lot of happy owners, and not a lot of them available. I screwed up a couple of months ago when someone offered me $600 for it at a gig and I didn't do it.
Do a search here and you will find a lot of good information on this bass |

Didn't the Pro-Tone's come with a pearloid guard? I couldn't quite make out if that is a white or pearl guard...
Bump for a sweet bass!

Come on grab this steal! |

And talk about a good platform for upgrades... there's a ton of killer pickups that could be swapped in and make it dreamy. Not that they don't sound good to begin with, but imagine it with Nordstrands or Delanos...
GLWTS!
Sweet bass...

I can adapt to any bass out there except 17mm spacing, just makes themuscle memory go away! I hope someone on TB takes this great instrument. they should look at the 3 that are on the bay hovering around $400 now! |
