I just got this bass from Poman. It's awesome! You would never know it's a Made in Mexico Fender. I always thought MIM meant poor quality. Not so, the quality of this bass is outstanding. I was very impressed.
Has the following upgrades:
1.Sadowsky preamp w/ VTC & knobs
2.Nordstrand P/J pickups
3.Gotoh bridge
All work was professionally done
Also comes with the factory installed Hipshot D-tuner & a Fender G&G black hardshell case. (case is missing 2 metal feet)
The bass with the upgrades is valued at over $1300.
Bass weighs about 9.5lbs
Only reason I'm selling so quickly is I have been looking for a Fender Pino bass & have found one so I need to raise some money for it.
FYI, this bass sounds like a Sadowsky P/J. Can go from modern to vintage with the roll of the VTC knob.Put it in passive mode & roll the VTC with just the P pickup, it's very vintage Fender P bass. Engage the pre & it sounds like a Sadowsky.
