I am selling my Fender 75RI. I bought it here on talkbass couple months ago. Killing bass for sure. Sounds legit 70's bass.

This was talkbass member - Narud's old bass. He tried out almost every single coil jazz pickup out there, and decided duncan Antiquity II was the best set. And I totally agree with him.

Here is clip of actual bass i am selling. I recorded in garage band, straight into mic input. No eq or any comp.

Fender 75RI sound clip by Young Heo on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

It's been played for sure. So there are some nicks and tears. But SOUND is amazing.

Why am I selling if it's sound so good? I need 5 string and little lighter bass for my 4 hours gig. I don't mind holding onto it, but just bought carvin.. so there you go.

more pics coming

SPEC-
Fender American Reissue 75
Duncan Antiquity II pups
Routed for battery for future upgrade if you want
D-tuner
extra white guard

neck metal guard
Hipshot Bridge

Price - $1199 shipped, paypal welcome

About the recording.

On left channel (Bass line) - both volumes full, tone full

On right chaneel (Bass solo) - Bridge pickup favored, tone half way up

some characters

it's on 4th fret and 6th fret. just cosmetic, not affecting sound or playability.

heres a little more info about the bass.

-binding on the edges of the neck is rounded over to feel more like an actual 70's bass. the binding on these reissues is very tall and doesnt feel right. i had the edges rounded over

-battery box was routed for a bart ntbt i had in there. the bass sounded better passive so i took it out.

-the above work was done by jason workman at national resophonic guitars.

-the pickups were sent back to duncan to get wire pulled off so that they were at a specific dc resistance that i specified that i knew would work best with that bass. no set of pickups i bought sounded right in that bass until i put some old fender gray bottoms in there. the lower wind duncans got the sound with a little more booty.

-there was also some hairline spidering in the first fret block inlay. a layer of superglue was put down to seal it and then leveled and polished up to gloss as to blend with the poly.

none of the reissues off the shelf feel or sound as good as this bass. i put a ton of time and money into this bass and it shows.

...and since I bought this off Narud, I can vouch. This bass is a beast, and I wish I could afford to get her back. It's got mojo, but it's also got THAT sound...
