I've been in a 4 string mode for several years now, so I'm considering parting with some of my 5'ers. This is an amazing bass, but it needs some love. If you like low action, it needs a fret level & polish. It has lots of dings. The string retainer mod is very functional but not pretty. The electronics need to be cleaned (volume is scratchy). But man does this thing have tone. Ships in an old funky fender hardshell, strung with dunlop steels. I'm in no hurry to sell, $1000 shipped given the condition.
