I have a Fender Roscoe Beck V in Vintage White that is in Excellent + condition. No dings or dents or buckle rash. Pickguard has crack from being overtightened , probably from factory. New guards are availble from WD so it is an easy change. Rare color. Haven't seen many in this color. Email with any questions. $1200 plus shipping

Roscoe Beck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Roscoe Beck is a multi-Grammy Award winning record producer and bassist. He has recorded and played with Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Leonard Cohen, The Dixie Chicks. He also has his own signature electric bass: the Fender Roscoe Beck Bass, used by many other players.

After earning a reputation from Austin to L.A. as a solid bassist with such artists as Robben Ford, Eric Johnson and Joe Ely, Beck made his debut as a producer in 1986 on Jennifer Warnes' highly acclaimed collection of Leonard Cohen songs, Famous Blue Raincoat. Since then, he has produced numerous projects, including albums by Cohen and Ford. "I reached the point where I wanted to be more than someone's bass player," he says, "and producing seemed the logical direction."[citation needed] In his current playing and co-producing role with Robben Ford & the Blue Line, Beck's consideration for the overall sound of the group has led him to move up the fingerboard, where he rounds out the trio's sound with simultaneously tapped chords and bass lines.[1]

This bass was never offered in white. This is either a custom one-off or a refin. My guess is that it is a refin.

If I had to do a refin, that's the color I'd want. I'd be so on this as I was on the hunt for a few months. I just picked one of these up and got the neck reshaped and now it's perfect for me. I LOVE these basses!

Thanks for that info. By looking at it then, it is finished like a factory finish. It's is just beautiful. I may reconsider selling this then....

This is a really great Bass. I have one in the Teal color. I don't care for the color, but it plays real nice. They discontinued the 5 string RB model and from what Roscoe says on the forum on his web site, it doesn't look like they will ever start production back up. May have a collectors item on our hands here. I also have a sunburst 4 string that I love even more than the five string.
