I've just come into another Fender Jazz, so this relatively new one will have to go... too bad, as I've REALLY enjoyed playing it!
2010 Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar purchased by me (new) from Musician's Friend in April 2011 (just 6 months ago!).
Asking
$225, includes shipping in gig bag to Con. U.S. I typically try to double-box it if I can, or at least "bomb-proof" pack a single box.
Duncan Dimarzio (stock) pickups in PJ formation--you can get lots of great sounds combinations with these
Stacked control knobs with detents on the tone knobs (nice touch!)
Satin finish on the maple skunk stripe neck
This is NOT the lower-end "Special" line from Squier and definitely competes with the Fenders.
It sounds fantastic... lots of oomph in these pickups. I only practiced at home and played every other Sunday at church, so low hours put on it. It lived in my hardshell case (not for sale) or on a Hercules wall hanger, otherwise.
In VERY VERY GOOD condition with these minor items of note mentioned just for total disclosure:
-slight indentations on body where 4 corners of Babicz bridge that I had put on was... difficult to see unless you get a bright light to shine right on it.... that's what I had to do to get it to even show up in the pics. The Babicz is off and the original bridge is back on. If you are interested in the Babicz, let me know (also for sale).
-slight "dimple" near bridge... was there when I got it. Shallow and impossible to see unless the light gets right on it (see pic).
-a few small shallow grooves (?) in the fretboard between frets 1 & 2 (between D/G strings), and 3 & 4 (between E/A strings).... never noticed them until I took pictures for the sale. Again, had to get the light just right to get them to show up--not major or deep (see pic).
-nut grooves widened to accomodate wider strings of BEAD tuning, but still work fine for EADG strings (currently has EADG roundwound strings on).
That's it, no buckle rash (had a protector on the back), no cracks, chips, neck dings, etc. Chrome shines (of course).
PM me if questions or interested (see my previous ratings).
