For sale is a Fernandes MIJ P/J bass likely form the late 80's or 90's. The bass is in amazing condition. This bass is still in production in Japan as Model FRB-45M and sell for equivalent of about $550 and up. See here

This bass is an aboslutely amazing player, combining many traditional elements with many more modern and design-forward elements.
The bass resembles a traditional Fender style P/J configured bass but it is also super light weight, well balanced and has about the fastest neck I have ever played. The sealed P/J Fernandes pickups are tight and noiseless.
The body is petite for a streamlined look and feel and is a more light-weight and better balanced feel playing.
The all black finish and rosewood neck make this bass scream hard rock/metal. Think Robert Trujillo. Someone with goth sensibilities and/or an appreciation for ergonomics ought to love this.
I bought this bass as a nostalgia purchase and have been having a blast with it. I played this bass in the late 80's when I was a huge Rush head, had a Steinberger and was looking for a backup bass that had the all black Wal looks and played fast. This bass was a serious contender but ended up saving my sheckles, waiting it out and buying a botique bass in the end.
Anyway, fast forward to today, and I have been having a blast with this bass, but alas, it is time for it to find another home as I have some other basses to finance.
Again, the bass is in great condition. Save for a little wear at the headstock which looks much worse in phots than in person thanks to my very bright lighting and flash and one ding on the body edge this is an pristine bass (and the wear is likely from a gig bag zipper, not hard living) .
