Fodera Anthony Jackson 6-String Contra Bass RARE Pink Ivory wood Fret board

PICTURES ARE HERE

I purchased this item off of an eBay auction several years ago from what I believe was the second owner.
I had seen the bolt-on neck brother to it at Bass NW in Seattle and thought
it was one of the most beautiful basses I have ever seen and just happened to luck out on it.
  • Pink Ivorywood fret board
  • Pope 3-Band electronics and Seymor Duncun Dual Coil Pickups.
  • Flamed Ash body with translucent Coral Finish
  • Maple Neck

Jason at Fodera said about the fret board "Pink Ivory is INCREDIBLY rare.
We attributed $1,449 of the replacement value to the Fingerboard"

I had it adjusted and maintained by Luthier, Mike Lull of Bellevue, WA.
The original knobs weren’t gold plated so I upgrades them to match.

I haven’t played it in some time as I have been traveling and it will need to be setup
by someone who can adjust the truss rod and locking Fodera bridge to suit your playing style.

There are a couple of belt buckle scratches on the back from the previous owner
but they are cosmetic and there are no chips in the finish.

SEE Appraisal this month by Jason at Fodera with a replacement value of $ 13,795.00

Price is $9,595.95 OBO

Shipping and Insurance would be actual costs based upon location and carrier from L.A.

I accept Visa, Mastercard, Bank draft or wire transfer.

Damn....what a great looking bass. That is probably still my favorite Fodera body style. Best of luck with the sale.

The pictures make the string spacing look more narrow than usual. You may want to list the spacing at the bridge.

edit: ...and after looking at the appraisal form I think it's important to list that it's an alder body with a flamed ash top and is a 36" scale bass. Incredible looking bass for sure.

I sent him the money through the bank wire transfer,
and he doesn't write my email back for over a month.
I thought he was a man with the reputation,
but I'm really worried now.
I'll wait until the next week, considering he's away to somewhere
till the thanksgiving and stuff..
and if he doesn't contact me until then,
I'm gonna need a serious help, people..

Wish me luck please.

I really hate to see this here. I dug the bass, but had a weird feeling about this. I always check (for the most part) feedback ratings and doubly on guard for "0" feedback. Hope it works itself out.

The last time the guy logged on was July 13th.

As others have said, there is value in the feedback system. Although I have gotten burned on occasion from several with great feedback.

10 grand is too much to trust over a wire transfer. Even if PayPal does take a huge chunk of your 10 grand and then some, at the very least they offer protection.

Here's what I've dug up:

A tweet:

jgarnerphoto

did you know that apple (mac) has reps who's specialize in gear for photogs? Custom macs @ discounts. His Name: Daniel Barre 206-910-0065

It should be mentioned that I've seen this bass on CraigsList many times before.

It really sucks that someone one would do that and even more so that it happened on TB.

Guy joined 3 days before putting this up for sale. He has had only 3 posts since joining, and they were each an attempt to sell something. Then a few weeks after that he doesn't log in anymore.

Doesn't look good.

What an ass. Maybe we need to band together and inflict some TB down-low justice on this clown.

If this is really fraud, especially international, you can contact the FBI. They can probably trace him easily.

Thanks all you guys for your attention.

I still didn't get any notification from him.

Thanks to some of you came up with detailed information.

I have called his number to 206-910-0065 several times,

but he doesn't pick it up. The kindest(or the foolest) guess would be

guessing that it's his home phone and he happened to be out of the US for a moment.

That still doesn't expain why he's not responding to the email though..

Since I live in South Korea and where I am is there right now,

this could become an international fraud case.

I'll wait for his response until the next week and I'll take every possible action.

What possible action could there be, by the way?

Do FBI really deal with this sort of transactions between individuals?

I wire transferred the fund to the company he appointed- Essential Simplicity,

which also comes up if you go to his webpage.

But as I have made a call to the number of the company(the 1-800 number),

it says the number is no longer available. I found it out just few hours ago. how stupid..

Anyway, advise me more if you can, fellow earth men..
