This is an awesome instrument in absolute mint condition. Includes Fodera teardrop case. I am selling only because my schedule for the last six months and likely the next nine months will not permit me to play regularly. It deserves to be owned by someone with the time to enjoy it. It has been in a smoke-free, pet-free environment.

Please email me at hasadari@hotmail.com with any questions. I can email more pics upon request.

Fodera

Its a beautiful instrument. The unfortunate part is that I haven't really gotten to play it (or my other basses) much for the last six months and it appears that my schedule is not letting up any time soon. The sound is killer and it looks better in person.

I can't fathom why luthiers have to go and ruin an otherwise beautiful instrument for some asinine body design that barely resembles a guitar. If this was the normal Emperor body form factor, I'd buy it in a heart beat... but unfortunately I can't stand the oversized horn and the amount of wood/weight it adds. But hey that's just me, I'm sure plenty of people love this style... you shouldn't have any problem selling this one to the right guy.

Comment

I have several Emperor-style body basses as well. I find that the Imperial is a very good design with a much fuller sound and greater versatility of sound than an Emperor style body, which I attribute in part to the extra weight. The bass is not heavy and does not weigh as much any of my prior Alembics. The body design is actually incredibly well balanced and comfortable to play. I would certainly not call the body design "assinine" and would have no reservation about keeping this bass, except for my schedule (which has been atrocious).

OK Well I'm willing to be proven wrong, and try buying one. Can you post more pics? Any scratches / nicks / dings / anything?

Pics

I can email you as many as you like. No dings, no scratches. It really is mint. I have been working 18+ hrs/day for six months and likely have nine more months with extensive travel still to go. Please send me your email address and I will provide more pics.

Regards,

Bob Brown

Hey I'm willing to overlook the body design if it sounds/plays as amazing as people say they do. I listened to a few samples of this particular bass and was very impressed (which is why I'm buying it).

It's still prettier than a giant Yin-Yang
