FS: Franken P-Bass $250 OBO SOLD

Up for sale is a Franken p-bass that was going to be my experiment bass but now she needs to go so no trades please.

The body was sold to me as a MIM Fender p-bass body that has been stripped and drilled for a string thru bridge. It appears that it's an oil finish. The bridge I think is an Allparts high mass bridge and the string thru drilling looks appears to be professional. The pickup, harness, knobs, and pickguard are from an early 90's MIJ Fender p-bass. Sounds warm and beefy like it should. the cavities have all been shielded.

The neck is a JB Player neck from the 80's. I stripped the original lacquer and refinished the neck with Minwax and Tru Oil rather badly. There are some close ups of where I had difficulty removing some lacquer by the nut and heel. This does not affect playability at all. Looks bad but the back of the neck feels good. The truss rod adjustment is at the heel of the neck and works fine. Frets have been leveled and dressed, the tuners are MIM Fender, and the nut is water buffalo horn. I screwed up and drilled through the headstock when I was installing the tuners. I took close ups of this and a gouge by the D tuner that I made when uninstalling the old tuner ferrules. None of this affects sound or playability in the slightest.

To get this neck and body to cooperate I had to do a little bit of shimming. The action is now nice and low. The neck fits nice and tight in the pocket to. I would guess that the bass weighs around 8lbs. It is currently not strung up and will more than likely ship that way. There are no strap pins installed at the moment. I will dig some up and install them before shipping.

I'd like $250 plus shipping OBO. PayPal Payment Owed and continental USA only please. SOLD!
