I just got this in. I am thoroughly impressed with it. Which says alot because for me. I had a 96' stingray 5 that I had nothing but problems with and soured me completely on EBMM basses. Swore I would never own another. But combine trying to be open minded with a rosewood board, black finish and tort pickguard......I couldnt resist.
I set it up today and have been playing it non stop. Now for the big WHY??? Well......I took it in trade because I knew it would get me one step closer to getting myself back into a USA Cirrus 4(selling my last was an enormous mistake). My last bass wasnt moving and I knew the EBMM would be alot more popular to sell or trade. Plus the Ray isnt a 6 string (which I had no use for and have no business playing) so while I have it I will be glad to play the crap out of it because I can actually use it. If I had a full time start date at my job yet I would definatley keep it and save up for a few weeks and buy a Cirrus. But every time I have cash there arent any out there. So up this goes as a feeler i guess.
2002 EBMM stingray 4H. Black, tort pick guard, rosewood board, 3 band preamp, origional EBMM hard case. The only thing I want to throw out there for sake of full disclosure is that there is some slight surface corrosion on the pick up poles and a little on the washers under the control knobs. I will likely take care of it but incase i dont i wanted to throw it out there. The truss rod works pefectly. The wheel moves nice and smooth and easy and the neck reacts nicely to the slightest adjustment. A very very welcome suprise after my 96 SR5 nightmare. (94-96 i guess were notes for issues apparently??)
What I'm looking for as far as trade bait is pretty much only a USA Cirrus 4 string 98' or 99'. Walnut is prefered.
If it were to be maple body it would need to have a non maple fret board. No blue peacock finishes please.
Absolutely NO 5 or 6 string or fretless basses.
EDIT: I would also love a Modulus Q4. If someone has one and wants to deal somehow shoot me a PM. (must have a truss rod)
Lets say $950 shipped and insured (fedex) Conus. I would ship international but you have to pay actual shipping obviously and it would be USPS not Fedex.
I will throw up a couple pics from the previous owner to get things going. I will take better ones when I get home from work.
