FS/FT 1967 HAGSTROM HIIB

Sign in to disble this ad
I have decided to let go of my 67 Hagstrom HIIB. Which is a killer sounding and playing bass. It is a mid scale, with probably the thinnest neck you will ever find on a bass. A great instrument for someone on the small side, or someone large who like the feel of a fast small neck. This bass weighs almost nothing and sounds like it weighs a ton. The Bass is in overall good player condition with natural "relic" markings. Everything is original with the exception of the rotosound monel flatwound strings which compliment this bass nicely. Made in November 1966 according to the S/N this unit has held up well. Due in part to the "expanding H" truss rod system designed with some help form Saab in the 50's, the neck on this thing is straighter than Ron Jeremy. All switches work and volume knob ear is cracked off, but original and functional.
Asking PRICE DROP $600 OBO.plus shipping. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD!!!!!
Will consider trades......Mostly Yamaha BB's and Ibanez ATK's

Also this old Ibanez case that fits the bass really well is also included.
And if you call in the next ten minutes I can include some mix-matched socks!!!!

Thanks for looking.

I've played this very bass...super thin/narrow neck. That and the 32" scale makes it easy to fly all over the fretboard.

BoRadBass is a cool dude, and great to deal with!

I will also consider trades involving a 1-12 4 ohm speaker cabinet. Or just about anything cool or interesting!!!!

I love these basses. They're are surprisingly neat little players. Free bumpage.

Do you have any sound clips of this? I've always wanted to get my hands on one of the famously fast Hagstrom necks.

I don't have my own sound clips. But this guy on youtube with a 64 hag sounds pretty much identical (same bass just older). So check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QsPVX6GLwQ
And oh yes the neck is fast!!!!

Thanks...Bo
