SOLD
I have my 1973 fender P-bass for sale. My wife walked into my music room and discovered that I had 6 basses. She only knew about 4 at the time. This means I had to make some choices and my beloved P has to go.
1973 Fender Precision
Ash Body
Maple neck and finger board
2TEK bridge, professionally installed, sounds amazing
Seymour Duncan vintage PUPs
CTS Pots
Fully Shielded and quiet
Bone Nut
Minimal Fret ware
3 tone sunburst
Serial number: 391,164
Neck date: 5 Feb 1973
Finish is checkered, worn and chipped from 37 years of use.
No Case
This bass sounds absolutely brilliant. First $1,500 takes it. This includes shipping in the ConUS, international is OK if buyer pays additional costs. Paypal e-check or USPS money order or other arraignments for payment can be discussed. Feel free to make any offer, I have thick skin.
Trade ideas: Smith, Musicman, Sadowsky, or any other interesting basses. I will also look at GK and GB gear.
Pictures taken on 11-19-10

Or you could always say those basses are in "heat" and multiplying. Must be that time of the year for basses?

BTW guys my wife is very cool, she just doesn't see the point in so many guitars, I do. She will let me trade if there is some cash involved or the one I get in trade replaces another that I intended to keep. Classic GAS
This being said there will be more for sale soon I'm sure. I have a 79 stingray also.

Really wish I could help you out with this, but I'm at my maximum number of allowed basses at the moment.
