FS/FT 1974 Black Jazz maple, inlay, growly beast

Sign in to disble this ad
***PRICE NOW $3050!!!!!!!!!!!&*&^*) or best offer****

Hi,
I am looking to sell my 1974 fender jazz bass. Its is really a great all around bass and in great condition. Perfect neck, great pups and very good condition for an old jazz bass.

I had a local fender expert look at this when I purchased it years ago. We dated the pots to the 5th week of 1974 and the pups were 74. The neck does not have a neck stamp on it but is stamped with the name George, but the wear pattern is consistent with the body. The hardware is all original with the exception of the pickguard. The neck plate is stamped 537865, and is 4 bolt.

The back is clear of buckle rash but there are a few small chips on the bottom (see pics). The bass is in great condition and I take it in yearly to get set up , but do not gig with it , and only use it at home and for studio work.

I am very confident that who ever buys this bass will love the 70's vintage tone.

I was looking for $3450 now $3050 outright or may trade for a

The right passive custom shop jazz.

I do not have the original case or covers. Please pm me if you have any questions or with reasonable offers.

Thank you for looking fellow TB'ers. Shipping to conus only paypal.

Thank you sir. This may go to fund a custom shop (and I love your thread on the new am deluxe, glad you are enjoying it).

NEW PICS ADDED BETTER QUALITY.

Thanks again!

A lot of basses from my era coming up right now. Loving the trip down memory lane. I remember wanting to put this neck on a P body. Why? Who knows. /lol

Yes you are right!!Man the rock seems to be moving quicker and quicker these days. I wish I had kept more of those beauties from back then (a nice 77 ibanez jazz and a '81 p bass for example).

Man I am used to these poly neck tone monsters and I love your idea of the swap, had a p with a j neck and a pj routed body. It was/is a great combo. All the best to you
