FS/FT 1974 Fender Precision Bass - *** SOLD ***

Sign in to disble this ad
1974 Fender Precision Bass - Almost Original and Clean * reduced price due to pick up not being original

Sunburst w/Rosewood FretBoard and Tort PG

Original working case (all 3 latches)

8.8 lbs, "B" width neck

Components and Neck codes all date (73-75) except:

Only non original parts are the:
1) 2 covers (Bridge and PU)
2) Input jack
3) Pickup - Bottom of the PU pic below

Neck and truss work perfectly - great sound and thump.

I am looking for $ 1875 or a 4 string Jazz type bass of equal value - could be vintage Fender, Sadowsky + or - some Cash either way. Will also consider newer Rickenbacker bass also - Prefer a local transaction in New England if possible.

If interested I can send detailed pics and all codes.

Curious? Weight?

Oh, I'm curious alright.
Poor, but curious.
Very nice bass. Did you confirm that the pickups themselves are original?

Thanks Gnergaard Weight is 8.8 lbs

Revised my post a the top to reflect what I believe are non-original pick ups. (see pic below as I just pulled the PU).

Also there are various dings and bumps and scratches and have included another pic of the back to show many of them.

Correct, that is a non-original pickup. Nice weight, though.

Another Pic - GE Answer

One mark on the neck first fret (left side facing the player) where someone lightly sanded the rosewood or was an original build flaw - (pic below) also there is a screw hole in the Headstock (pic Below) where someone had installed a another string tree at some point - the neck itself is smooth and nice with little wear on the back.

Yes it is a 1 5/8 neck "B"

And the pick up is black bottom with a few codes which looks like a Dimarzio - but no other markings - sounds very similar to a stock 70's P pickup with full tone and volume.
