Here's the info on the 74'. I'll take and post more pics today since I can't seem to get that link to be live.
For sale is my 1974 Fender P bass with a very hard to find 'A' neck which means it's 1 1/2" wide at the nut like a Jazz bass. The bass plays and sounds awesome. The body finish is in good shape with some nicks and scratches and light checking and patina. The neck has nicks, scratches, chips and checking more so on the G side. It's as a nearly 40 year old workhorse should be. Looks beautiful IMHO. Maple neck with skunk stripe and natural ash body. All original except 1 pot is newer (volume), pickguard is not original and the chrome pickup covers and thumbrest are missing. The original pot and pickups date 1974. The neck stamp is mostly worn away but you can barely make out the 3 indicating maple neck and you can still see the A indicating 1 1/2" nut width. The pickups, bridge, tuners, nut, string tree and neck plate are all original. Truss rod works perfectly as well. It will ship in it's original case which is in poor/fair condition. I wouldn't recommend consistent transport with it but it is nice to have. I hate to part with this bass but I already have 2 'A' neck P basses and I'd like to buy something different. It weighs approximately 8.6lbs and is very balanced. 'A' neck P basses are hard to find especially at this price and this one is a PLAYER... AND it will retain and increase in value!!! 3 other A necks on eBay are all priced over $3,200 (including my 75'). You will love this bass, thanks for looking. Asking $1,900 OBO cash or paypal or will consider trades +/- cash for uprights, fretless', vintage electrics... Really whatever, lets see whatcha got! Call or text Mike @ 615-924-0282.
