So based on my last sale/trade, and the fact that I've got no feedback, I want to give you guys all of the information I can about this bass.

It's a 1978 Fender Jazz Bass in White and there are several important things you should know about it:
-This thing is a beast, I have to weigh it but I'd guess it's 11 plus lbs.
-The neck and set up on this instrument are very good, and if you like late 70's Jazz basses, this is a good one (despite the weight.)
-The electronics are NOT all original, but this bass does have super-old seymour duncan quarter pounders (possibly super stacks) superin burgundy. (I think Duncans only came with burgundy covers in their early years, somebody can correct that.) The pick-up sound might be the reason I've kept this thing as long as I have, they really are that cool sounding.
-There is a route under the pickguard (pictured.)
-The bridge has been replaced with a Badass II (pictured.)
-It comes with the original hardshell case.
-I don't have the original pickups or bridge.
-Last but not least: This is a players instrument, not a collector piece. I don't want anyone to think that I'm trying to misrepresent this as something more than it is.
I think that it's a super cool instrument, but I'm jonesing for other stuff.
I would like $1400 (OBO) shipped for it or:
-A Roscoe Beck IV
-A Mid to Late 90's Fender Bass (American or deluxe) (plus cash)
-A Carvin Bromberg 4 string
-An Epi Jack Casady (plus cash)
-A six string with 18mm + spacing
-Any combination of basses and cash for a person that wants this bass.
You can either PM me or email me at
charliebigred@gmail.com (which is preferable.)
I'm in Chicago if you'd like to check it out in person. I'd really like to do a local deal, if at all possible.
