I had a ton of interest in this earlier in the year, but ended up decising to keep it. It's been beautifully set up with 45-105 Roto rounds, sounds HUGE, but I might have to move this one as my jazz is getting alot more action than this... There was some debate as to whether this bass is an SQ or a JV - the serial #'d neckplate is missing but I assure you this is a fantastic example of an early Squier Precision that you won't be disappointed with!
There's a date stamp on the heel of the neck, looks like 11,28,83, but it's tough to read and the Body has the marking 1 B. Yes, the body is black- most of these came as sunburst! It has reverse tuners, the appropriate headstock strap button and no skunk stripe. As mentioned, the neckplate may have been swapped at some point... there's some scratching on the back, the pickguard is missing a corner, and there's a paint chip on the top where one's forearm rests, but what do you expect for a 25 year old instrument!
Looking for an outright sale for $450 USD + Shipping.
Open to trade offers- specifically looking for vintage gear, and I'm obviously willing to add or accept cash depending on trades.
