I know, I might catch some flak for turning this around so quickly, but here it is again, a beautiful old 81 Ric 4001 in very decent condition. I only had this in my hands a couple of days, and quickly realized I am best suited for Fender-type basses. So I decided I will stick with my Lulls, and really want to get my hands on a Wilkins 4 banger. Now, about the Ric, there is nothing at all wrong with the bass, neck is nice and straight, frets in really good condition, especially considering the age of this bass. The ruby color is beautiful, some checking and paint chips, as you would expect. Tone is great, just as you would want from a vintage Ric. Aesthetically, just a great instrument, but I just prefer the ergonomics and feel of my Lulls, guess I got spoiled by them. But if you're a fan of vintage Rics, you should consider this one very carefully. Asking what I paid,
