| FS or FT - 1982 Yamaha BB1000S
i bought this bass from a fellow talkbasser recently because i've always been curious about them. i owned a cheaper version of this bass in the early 80's and always gassed for this very bass. now that my curiosity is satisfied, i'd like to scratch other itches...
this may be the best playing bass I've owned, the previous owner had it pleked and set up, and it shows. the action is really low with no buzzing or fretting and it plays awesome all over the neck. as the pics show, its in good cosmetic shape with light playing wear for a 30 year old instrument. the passive pj pups and controls sound strong and the 3 way pickup selector yields all great and usable tones. the neck feels fast and measures on the shy side of 1.6" at the nut. the bass weighs about 9lb. the body appears to be alder with a maple through neck and rosewood fingerboard. it's strung with d'addarrio chrome flats. a hard case is included.

for trades, i tend to like traditional type basses. but i'll listen to anything. i do have a hankering for a lakland pbass, a reggie hamilton mim bass, or an acoustic bass guitar, or ?
