UPDATE: On hold pending a neck swap. I will be acquiring an 80s SB1 neck so I can't sell or trade it until around Chrstmas when it gets here.
1983 G&L SB2 JJ
One of the best Jazz basses ever made. The G&L MFD J type pickups are big, clear and hot: a lot of output, with broad even response. Controls are volume and tone, with a Stratocaster-esque pickup selector for neck only/both/bridge only.
It has a 1997 G&L L2000 neck on it. 1997 is part of the ''three bolt micro-tilt" family. The neck is 1 3/4" nut width, and has a beautifully figured rosewood board. Wide, but shallow, it plays out beautifully.
These are 'slab bodied" and have no forearm or tummy contours cut into the body.
Condition is 8. has some small chips in the neck pocket where the neck meets the body. The finish isn't perfect. I think it's nitro.
$700 plus shipping. It will come with a decent gig bag for $25. Will ship overseas with the neck off.
