I have decided to offer my 1983 L2, SN69x for sale.
It has what I think is an after-market legrest, the original bag and very nice
Ritter bag.
The action is very low and has non-double ball in Chromes installed.
Moderate fretwear but no buzzing and lots of life left in the frets.
The Steinberger sticker on the faceplate is long gone. No major dents, cracks or dings although there are finish scratches and some small chips. I have taken lots of photos but the black bass is hard to photograph well and I could not get any of the imperfections to show in the photos. Perhaps it's my flash technique, I don't know. I might try again in sunlight and see if it makes any difference.
The battery cover does have a crack in it as shown in some of the pics but it works fine.
Everything works as it should on the bass.
Intonation is great, no scratchy pots, tuners work smoothly, and the tuner claws are original and in great shape.
As you can see from the pics it has the string set screws which work great if you want to use non-double ball end strings.
I'm looking for $2000 plus shipping. I'll consider shipping internationally but I won't declare a lower value for customs.
I am interested in partial 4 string bass trades + cash towards this bass.
I'm in Raleigh, NC, if anyone wants to do a transaction in person. I'd actually prefer a face-to-face deal, but that's probably a long-shot.
Thanks,
Scott
