This bass plays very sweetly. It's natural tone is fairly polite and under control, the vocie of this bass fits very easily into both live and recorded mixes.

It is definitely a 28 year old bass and has been played. It has some well earned wear and tear on the body. The neck (fretboard and back) is clean and well broken in.

I am somewhat on the fence about this bass. It has some sentimental value to me, and I could just store it for the 2-3 years I expect to be away. OTOH, I thought I would see what the market might bear on this one.

Looking for $450 with the buyer playing for shipping from CA zip 94550. I usually deal with Postal Money Orders only for sales (no PayPal).

I am open to trades for a just a few amps only (I'm good with +cash options):

GK Fusion
TC RH450
Mesa Walkabout

So, take a look TB and let me know what you think.

don't know the Gibson GB440. the only amps that I know I am interested in are the micro amps as listed in the ad:

GK Fusion
TC RH450
Walkabout (not a true micro)

I'll check out the GB440, but unless its very small/light, I am probably not interested.

thanks

don't have a scale handy, but due to the build materials, it is on the heavy side. Without weighing it, I'd say it's in the 10-12lbs range (certainly heavier than either my Am Dlx Jazz 4, or Lull MV4). If the specific weight is an issue for you and you are really interested, i can get it weighed this weekend.

let me know.

thanks for looking.

This REALLY shouldnt still be here anymore.

I REALLY wish I had the right trade bait or the cash for this.

If its still here after Christmas, we might be talking.

The Gibson GB440 is the predecessor to the Thunderfunk. Weighs about 20 lbs at most. And same layout as the TF. Look here. Gibson GB 440 Bass amp. 400.00 shipped.

I will take a look and PM you if I feel like I am interested.

Don't feel slighted though if I say upfront that the 20lbs makes it heavier than my 1st choice - Walkabout. And notice that all the other FT amps I mentioned are in the 4-6lb class. I am moving internationally and really want to go small/light.

well, that probably won't happen as I will have put this bass in storage by then (if it has not sold) and will have moved to Europe by then.

But, you can always dream

thanks for looking
