Well, I never thought I'd sell this one... (always best to start things with a good cliche)
Today's Calf:
1991 Musicman Stingray 4 in a beautiful cherryburst!
Here's the specs:
Weight is
8 lbs!!! (on bathroom scale, but seriously the lightest stingray I've ever picked up by far)
FINISHED Birdseye Maple Neck!! / Rosewood Board
Ash Body
3 band Preamp
Cool chrome battery cover
Bridge with MUTES!!
New Musicman Hard Case
Bought this off a fellow TB'er about a month ago, turns out I still just don't like stingrays for my current gigs. I just can't seem to say NO to a beautiful Musicman for sale... it's really a problem... they feel SO good...
The previous owner described this bass best when he called it "the best stingray I've ever come across". That really nails it. This thing has an AMAZING finished neck, incredibly comfortable! The action is low, the tone is HUGE, and the G string is fat and fantastic! (unlike many other stingrays I've owned...) Just put on a brand new set of Rotosound's too!
Condition is a 9.5 out of 10, pretty amazing for being almost 20 years old. Very light age on the tuners, the bridge is still nice and shiny, mutes are like new, little swirling on the pickguard. This bass is very impressive.
Price is
$1250 SHIPPED (usa). Just looking to break even on this one. International I will consider.
Only trade: Fender American Vintage Basses, J or P. No other trades please.
Thanks!!
(Better pics in the daylight tomorrow!)
