FS/FT 1992 Fender Jazz Bass Plus USA - Kubicki Pre!

I have two of these and am looking to either thin the herd or diversify.

Fender Jazz Bass Plus (Later replaced by the Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe).
-smaller body (same as the deluxe model)
-no pickguard (these models did not have them)
-Lace Sensor pickups
-Kubicki Preamp with stacked (vol/pan), (treb/bass), 4 way selector: Off, Mid Boost Active, Active, Passive.
- This bass will play in passive with a dead battery!
-High mass bridge
-Deluxe tuners
-Smaller headstock

Lightweight bass and easy to play. It's been a workhorse for years but is in good shape. There is light swirling on the finish, and only one small chip on the bottom near the jack (it is not through the finish). There are a few dents on the back of the neck where the bass was leaned against something.

Serial number indicates 1990, but the neck is stamped 1992.

I gave $1,300.00 for mine, in '91. I hated the lace sensors. They sounded good enough, but the hum (that wasn't supposed to be there) made me crazy. The Kubicki designed Fender preamp was okay. I ripped everything out and put Duncan's in it. It played wonderfully and sounded great with the swapped pickups.

I'd say this is a pretty good deal.

Wow! That's a good deal for somebody. I saw one a month ago on FeeBay with a "buy it now" of $1500. It was a 1990 black one.
Mine is a 1993 black one also but I wouldn't let mine go that cheap.

I owned one for a while. Really liked the Kubicki pre-amp set up. It had an off position. No more turning down for break and trying to set your level again.
That was hi-tech back then.
