FS/FT Near Mint '93 Fender MIA Jazz Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, I have just found the bass I have been dreaming of for sale here on TB. So, I will sell my essentially flawless '93 MIA Jazz for $750, shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

Someone please help me buy my dream bass!!
=======================

Sorry everyone, I had to be out of town to deal with a family emergency. Now that I'm back I'm going to relist this beauty and cancel the first ad. Here is the first ad: 1993 Sunburst MIA "Longhorn/boner" Jazz Bass

Ok, so I have been playing 3 Fender Jazz basses and want something VERY special to broaden my musical possibilities. I need to sell one of my MIA Jazz before I can do that, so unfortunately this beauty is now up on the market. These routinely go for $900 to $1200.

For anyone interested in a purchase, I am asking a VERY reasonable $750, and am open to hearing other offers. All that can happen is your offer wouldn't work for me. I will take Paypal, but would really prefer certified check or money order. I will ship ground anywhere in the lower 48. If you are willing to pay for a shipping method other then ground, or want insurance, we can work that out as well.

As far as the trades I am dreaming of, I would love to work something out for a Musicman Sterling or Stingray. Obviously cash might possibly have to change hands as necessary depending on the trade.

This is a GORGEOUS 1993 MIA Jazz Bass. She is all original, no mods at all. 1993 was the last year Fender made this unique and beautiful piece.

1993, Made in USA, "Last Year of Production" Vintage Fender "Longhorn/Boner" Jazz Bass in the highly desirable Sunburst w/White Pickguard. This body style is also sometimes called the "longhorn bass", or "boner bass". As to why the name: it has 22 Frets, an Extended Upper Bout and Deeper Lower Cutaway making for a VERY playable bass with a very sexy look! These were only made for a short time and are becoming more and more prized by collectors. It is known for its uniqueness in the Fender "family tree". Another great feature which adds to its desirability is the TBX tone control which doesn't just cut away highs like a standard tone control, it actually boosts high and boosts lows depending on which way it is turned from its center detent. Comes with SKB Hard-Shell molded case in near perfect condition with key.

The pics attached were taken just a few days ago. As you can very clearly see, it is in excellent condition for it's age...or for that matter, for ANY age! I just got her back from having a new pro set-up at one of the best shops in all of Dallas/Fort Worth. She got her frets lightly dressed, neck checked and adjusted, electronics cleaned and sprayed, and a fresh set of Elixer strings. She's ready to rock!

Nothing and I mean nothing beats a USA Jazz for backing up a song or cutting through the mix. There are very few of these in the world. Plays and Sounds Perfect. The neck is perfect, straight, fast and smooth. Has the rare vintage Skunk Stripe and old original vintage neck plate! The frets are in excellent condition. No fret buzz whatsoever...Whoever buys this beauty will be VERY happy with her!

I will ship anywhere in the lower 48. Please feel free to write with any questions, I will do my best to answer them!

Killer Jazz bass! I have a '92, same color, and it's absolutely incredible......

Clarification on the TBX tone.... below the detent, it's a standard tone control..... above the detent, it "adds presence and brightness by allowing the pickups' natural resonance to come through."

Also, these were made well into '94.

Smiley,

I REALLY appreciate it, but I've come to realize that I just can't get comfortable on a maple board. I think they are beautiful to look at, they just don't work for me. ;(

Thanks again!

No worries my friend! Just got her sold and now have a nice ADP on they way! Have to agree with maple though, very bright wood. Jazz basses need rosewood to get that tone. Bump for a sweet bass!

Smiley, that's GREAT! Congrats on the sale...and I have to agree, a Jazz just sounds "right" with a rosewood board.

Happy Holidays!
