FS/FT: 1993 USA Fender Jazz Plus - Black and Maple

Putting up my Jazz Plus. I picked this up recently after moving on from my Geddy, but I still GAS for a P bass.

The bass is in very good condition. These are the models that predated the American Deluxe series. These are MIA with the smaller jazz bodies, Lace Sensor pups, Kubicki pre, schaller tuners and bridge. From what I've read they were the top of the line in the early 90s. The Jazz Plus has a 3 way switch (passive, mid boost, active (serial) and off).

The bass is in very good condition, but it has three issues to point out (in pics).

- There is a good ding on the bottom edge of the body by the bridge. I painted it with marker and it's not noticeable when playing.

- The upper strap pin hole was moved. The pin is stable and there are no issue, but the original hole is visible when a strap isn't on.

- There is a minor cigarette burn (not mine - don't smoke) but you can see it.

Apart from those 3 things it's really in great shape. No buckle rash, just the typical minor swirling found on most black finishes. It's a great sounding jazz and very light. But, I've got a few things that I am wanting or needing more since our gigging schedule is picking up.

$550 shipped with OHSC.

TRADES:

I figure trade value to be higher than sale.

- Fender P bass or PJ
- Warwick Covette (I know but I want to give one a try)
- Peavey VB2 (I know again)
- Hartke hydrive 115 or 410 (or both)
- Hartke LH1000 or 500
- Avatar 410 or new 15
- Sansamp Bass Driver Deluxe or VT Deluxe

Those of you that know me know that I'm very partial to black basses.

Neck and frets in very good shape. No dead spots. Neck is just too thin for me.

Lowered price. $550 (little more if shipping out west).

There's one on eBay now (not mine). Trying to undercut the competition, :-)

$550 for a USA Fender. Figure trade value a little higher.

Intersted in a 2 for 1? I have a Peavey Foundation and a Yamaha BB414, both black, that I am looking to trade.

I don't know about the Yamahas. Never played them. Do you have pics (didn't see any on your thread). I'm trying to stay with known basses to me.

Could get sidetracked from my P / PJ quest by my old stealth Carvin SB4000. It only comes back up when I don't have anything to offer. :-) It's one that I should not have let go. That and my old Fender Aerodyne AJB.
