FS/FT: 1996 Fender Jazz, rebuilt

Just the facts:

1996 Fender Jazz Standard (MIM)
Ser# starts with MN5, but neck and body dated Aug 1996

Completely disassembled and cleaned the bass, and put it back together. New pickguard and pickup screws.
Refinished the back of the neck with gunstock oil (feels AWESOME!!!)
Polished the body to a nice shine.
Leveled the frets and polished them.
Restrung with the strings it had (D'Addarios, boiled clean) and intonated it.
All the details of the work are in this thread:
Project: MIM Jazz (complete overhaul)

I love redoing basses like this! It's a fun hobby. But as much as I hoped this would be "The 4 string that would win my heart," I am a 5 string guy. So my other project must go on and this will just sit here on my stand and collect dust...

It deserves better, so I am selling or trading it. More pics before the details:

More pics of everything: http://s731.photobucket.com/albums/w...12/MIM%20Jazz/

It plays really well. Yes, there is a bit of wear on the bass, nicks and dents (it IS 14 years old, you know?), but nothing major as you can see. The neck feels new and the frets are level and shiny. While I don't think I got them exactly perfect (like Fodera level work), they are a LOT better than the worn out, uneven frets they were before. And a tuner has a scratch in it, but it doesn't affect the function.

Here's the nicks:

$300 shipped to the US 48.
Includes a Gator Cases G Slinger gig bag. (Upgrade to a Warwick RockCase softshell hard case for an extra $50 if you want!)
Paypal only unless you come and get it, then cash is king.

TRADES:
Will consider trades for other 5 string basses, let me know what you have. We can discuss the details, but send pics if you have 'em.

Bump.

I am taking offers as well, don't be afraid to PM.

Also, if this doesn't generate interest by Friday, it goes back in for more surgery...

I might be interested in just the EMG setup if you decide to go that route...waiting on a bass body to come in to see if I can stick a battery in it somewhere.

Anyone? Offers?

I just strung it up with flatwounds to see how it sounds. It's cool! But still have roundies, too.

MIM Jazz, Gig bag, 2 sets of strings... make me an offer!

I thought everyone loved these things! Oh well, I'm done bumping this thread. The bass is for sale until I close this. Offers are welcomed, just PM. I'm in no rush to get rid of it at the moment, so it's sitting on the stand... waiting for love!

I CHANGED THE PICS TO INCLUDE THE NEW (old) ELECTRONICS SETUP, AS WELL AS DETAILS ON THE NICKS AND DENTS.
