UPDATE PRICE DROP
I have two awesome vintage basses for sale.
First up is a 1982 Aria Pro II SB1000 lined fretless made in the legendary Matsumoku factory in Japan. The pickup has been replaced with a Bartolini, and a second toggle switch has been added to activate a coil tap. The original 'attack mode', active/passive (sorry, 'mode selector cancel') switch and flashing LED are all still working as designed. There is not a scratch to be found anywhere on this bass. It comes in a beat up, generic case and sounds exactly like the first four Duran Duran albums.
I recently had Status build me a custom fretless S2, so this one is surplus to my requirements.
The suggested price is
$1299 $1099 and I'll cover half of the UPS shipping costs to the lower 48. If you're in South Florida you're welcome to pick it up for free. Sorry but I won't ship outside the USA because I have no faith in customs agencies.
Trades considered:
Any of the following Aria Pro II
fretted 4 strings (either original or re-issue, post-1981 style headstock)
SB 700/900/1000
SB Elite I/II
SB Black'n'Gold I/II
R 60/80/150
SB CB/1000RI/1000JT
LEB Classic/Heritage plus cash on your side
The second bass, which is now for sale only, is a 1993 Warwick Streamer bolt-on. This is a proper Warwick - made by hand in 'West' Germany (sic) - with a low two digit serial number. The (3 piece) body is cherry, the neck is maple and the fretboard is wenge. I bought this new on Denmark Street in London in 1993. It was my main bass through the 1990s and so it shows some wear. There are a few dings and scratches. See if you can spot them in the pictures. All of the electronics work as designed. It comes in a Warwick gig bag.
The suggested price is
$999 $799 and I'll cover half of the UPS shipping costs to the lower 48. South Florida TBers are welcome to pick it up for free. Once again, I won't ship outside the USA.
Thanks for looking.
