FS/FT: 2001 Warwick Thumb 4 NT
Produced on 01/13/2001. Natural oil finish, Bubinga Pommele body, Ovangkol neck, black hardware
Bass itself is in very good condition with no noticeable or bruises or damage. Finish is beautiful and action is low (a little too low for my liking, it may need to be adjusted for personal taste). Frets were recently polished and are in very good shape. Wear is minimal with exception to a rubbing-off of the gold "MEC" writing on the pickups.
No know issues but a few mods were done by the previous owner:
Drop-D tuner was installed. Original not provided.
Factory pre-amp was replaced with a Bartolini NTMB-918F. Installation does look professional.Controls are:
- volume/pan (stacked), pull for passive mode
- Mid control, pull for mid-frequency selection
- Treble/bass (stacked)
Included is an over-sized Gator case (bass will be packed in bubble wrap to prevent movement), truss-rod tool and a pack of new Warwick brass frets.
Weighs 10 lbs even. Asking
There's a reason Jack Bruce plays a Warwick
Price drop bump.
And sold. Thanks for all of the interest!
