FS/FT 2004 MusicMan Stingray - Advanced Electronics

Sign in to disble this ad
2004 Musicman Stingray 4 string - Ash Body / Maple Neck - comes with MM Case - Pre-amp has been upgraded to an Aguilar and the PU is the MM Nordstrand - perfect condition - back of the neck was softened with steel wool/Oil- great feel - low action and fast play.

Very Bright and versatile sound, Punchy - have it strung with flats currently.

Will sell for $825 + shipping but prefer a local transaction - Looking for a 62 USA Re-Issue Jazz (newer can't afford an 83) - or a 2008/9 Fender Jazz Deluxe - Can add cash if necessary.

Any interest in a trade for a Tacoma thunderchief + cash? No shipping as I could drive to Boston or meet you somewhere in between.

Stingray

While I can't vouch for the bass, I can say that Kirk is a class act and a great guy to deal with---totally honest!

How does the sound differ from stock EBMM electronics?

The sound differs in

both depth and brightness - I have had 7 other MM's they are great sounding stock - but this is something different - for instance I have it strung with flats and get the same pop I would with Boomers on it. I can also get a very low range with all EQ flat and the bass turned up a single notch.

Hope that answers the question.

Hmm, sounds interesting. Have any pics on the neck? Never felt the need to modify the feel of a EBMM neck. Could you describe the change?
