FS: 2005 CIJ Fender Fretless Jazz Bass - SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a 2005 CIJ Fender Fretless Jazz Bass in vintage white, excellent plus condition, with the case candy (mostly in Japanese), 2 extra uninstalled pickguards, and the Fender gig bag it came in. The neck is straight. It has always been strung with flats and the fretboard has essentially no wear on it. The bass is all original and no modifications have been done to it. It is a really great sounding and playing bass, but I've come to the realization Jazz basses aren't for me.

I recently bought the bass here on TB ( FS CIJ Fender Fretless Jazz Un-used/mint ). There are nice pictures of the bass and more information about it in that post. I can send more pictures if someone would like.

Sorry, but no trades at the moment.

Thanks for looking!

I've got the original tortiose shell guard that came with the bass and a Fender USA white guard as well.

I don't see any screw holes for a pick guard. Was one ever on it?

Yeah, what he said.

There are no holes, because the guard was never installed. For this model of J bass, the pickguard comes uninstalled. So then you can decide if you want to put it on. The guards are tort and white.

It's a great sounding bass. Other than the Jaco model, there aren't too many fretless Fender Jazz bass models that come from the factory with the fretboard lines and dots.

Thanks buffalobillh!

It is a great bass, but after playing it for a little while I've found out that I'm just not a Jazz bass guy.

Anyone want to buy this and help me fund my Rickenbacker purchase?

GB - Yes it is alder. The official model name is the JB62-FL and it was only made with an alder body. Here is a link to Fender Japan's website which gives the specs:

http://66.163.168.225/babelfish/tran...2fjazzbass.htm

You'll have to click on JB62-FL under the Craft Premium section in the left part of the page to get the specs to come up. For some reason, I wasn't able to link directly to this model's specs.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.
