2006 Lakland Skyline Joe Osborn 5-string - 1-piece Ash body with natural finish
- Flat-sawn Maple neck, Rosewood FB, bone nut, 35" scale
- PLEKed at the Lakland factory in 2009
- original pickups which I believe are Lindy Fralin
- Audere JZ3 preamp (vol, mid/blend, treble/bass)
- Copper-shielded control cavity
- Built-in 9v battery box (installed at the factory)
- Dunlop straplocks installed
I am the original owner.
Condition: I'd give it a 9 outta 10 (a few scratches on the control plate and PG)
Weight: 10.2 lbs according to my bathroom scale
Cream-colored Lakland HSC in good condition with key and adjustment wrenches

This one was my 1st Audere pre. Since then I have also put one in a MIM Jazz deluxe that I put together from parts and a Lakland 55-02. I put the 3ZB module in the 55-02 with Nordy pups and, for some reason, I didn't care for it as much as the JZ3's. Could have been my installation also. The JZ3's are a no-brainer to install. You pretty much just drop it in and go.
So I guess I'd say I like them overall. ;-) |

Very cool! When I get my next Lakland Jazz I may try an Audere in it just to contrast it with the JRetro.
Yeah, if I were you, I'd be having second thoughts too... lol.
My Skyline JO is the best bass I have ever owned - and one of the best I've ever played (and that's including all the 3000 dollar and up boutique stuff).
I don't think I'll ever sell mine.  |
