I built one of these a few years ago with an alder body. Very light bass-about 7 lbs. I just bought another B4 kit with a swamp ash body that I'm starting on this week. I specified very light wood and got it. This will probably come in at just a hair over 7 lbs.

Not many people realize what excellent basses these are. My favourite neck and the fret work is excellent. Carvin kits go together perfectly with everything fitting tightly.

You'd be hard pressed to find this level of quality from other American companies in this price range.

If this is for sale mid-August I'll consider it (have to wait until my paychecks catch up and my student loans come in... )
