2009 Fender American Standard Jazz Bass
Olympic White w/ Maple Board
Still on the fence on this one, so don't be surprised or offended if I pull the listing. This is the last Fender in my collection.
In short, this is a 2009 with some upgrades. This was going to be the "last Jazz I ever bought." Yeah, right!
It has the Hipshot A-Series String-Through Bridge, DiMarzio Ultra-Jazz Pick-ups, and the control plate out of a 2007, so it has the S-1 switch on the first pot. I will include a mojo tone pot, for the buyer/trader if they want to pull the S-1. Has chrome knobs, including a chrome S-1 knob from Bass Parts Resource. Will ship with abalone, W/B/W and black pearl pickguards. I no longer have the original Fender HMV bridge or the original pick-ups. BassPartsResource sells both.
I have never seen a Fender, especially a newer one, with this much burl in the maple board. The pic doesn't do it justice. No dings or scratches to speak of. I hate to use the word mint, but it definitely applies.
Fender ATA case and all the candy. Fender/ Schaller strap-lock buttons. I am keeping the locks!!
$1000 shipped FedEx Ground to CONUS.
Trade bait is pretty specific...
I am really sold on humbuckers lately for both projects I am in. That being said I have NO INTEREST in rosewood fretboards or any nuts wider than 1-1/2."
Winners would be Sterlings (HS or HH, already have 2 H's) or a Stingray SLO (HS or HH, already have an H). A G&L with a 1-1/2" nut may do the trick as well.
