FS/FT '86 MIJ Fender Jazz Bass Special

Sign in to disble this ad
A re-posting.

It is a 1986 Made in Japan Fender Jazz Bass Special aka. Duff McKagan Signature.

It's got

Lindy Fralin P pickups with Seymour Duncan Basslines STK-J2B
Original Fender w/ Hipshot D-tuner (Will include an extra tuner)
Leo Quan Badass II
Hanessey Straplock (Black)
Ernieball Slinky 105~45

Controls:
A pickup selector (Bridge/Both/Neck)
Volume/Volume/TBX circuit.

TBX circuit kind of emulates active preamp on a Passive bass.
From center, if turned clockwise, it will boost treble and cut bass
and if turned counter-clockwise, it will boost bass and cut treble.

A few dings on the back and side and little scratch on the Truss Rod access.

Comes with Roadrunner Cruizer Gigbag

Electronics rewired and set-up at Musical Exchange in Austin, Texas

For sale: $550 shipped (Flat rate shipping via UPS) o.b.o.

For trades:
Although I prefer Equal or close valued gears,
shortscale bass, precision bass, 51 Reissue precision, Mike Dirnt Bass, Spector, Yamaha TRB-5IIP, Electric Guitar, amps......and many others

If there's value differences I will definitely pay or take cash to to make up for it in case I decided to take the trade offer.

I am pretty much open to anything so just shoot me a PM or for faster response, email me at nick_ji@hotmail.com

Worst thing I will say is sorry.

If you wanna see specific part of bass, let me know.

I can probably provide a sound clip in couple days if requested.

Thanks!!

What an absolutely killer looking bass. Mind if I ask what the controls on this one are?

Oh I'm sorry forgot to add it.

It's a pickup selector (Bridge/Both/Neck), and Volume/Volume/TBX circuit.

TBX circuit kind of emulates active preamp on a Passive bass. From center, if turned clockwise, it will boost treble and cut bass and vice versa.

Thanks for asking!

Nick

Killer, absolutely killer. You gotta love Japanese craftsmanship as well. I really wish I had the cash for this one!

Good luck!

I do, but you told me you weren't interested in my trade. (Tear slowly trickles down the cheek.)

I thought people will love it also but I'm not getting much offers at all....

I will wait and see for few more days and if there's no deal then I'd probably keep it....

Well painted neck is one of the things that differentiate this bass from others

Hi, can you ship it to Argentina via USPS Priority maiL?
the neck would need to be removed because of size limits (42" max lenght)
and ship it in one or two boxes, cases cant be shipped.
would you be ok with that?
thanks, Ivan
