FS/FT '89 USA Hamer CruiseBass - SOLD

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a '89 Hamer CruiseBass. USA made, set-neck (not neck-through like i originally thought), no pickguard from factory, 4 string, white/light blonde in colour, Gotoh bridge (i think, it's original and definitely not the through-body 2tek). Recently professionally set-up w new roundwounds. I've never seen another like it with the set-neck and lack of pickguard This is a standard US Hamer CruiseBass (thanks atrapp). The original owner bought it in Ontario in '89 and gave it to me 7 years ago when his back gave out. Besides him and two techs I'm the only other person to ever touch it. It's in good overall shape definitely with some dings and marks from a busy life before my time, but still plays awesome. Very clear notes, awesome sustain, fast thin neck. Comes with original hard case and certificate that came with the bass at purchase. Serial No. 719780, Model "CB", Color "IP"

Considering that it was given to me and I don't play it much anymore I've decided to return the favor and donate a bass to my father's church. The bass is nice enough that I'd rather see it in the hands of someone that would appreciate it rather than have it shared/abused among players at a church. I'd like to trade for an entry level Fender Jazz or similar +cash or +one of the following: sonic research ST-200, Vt bass deluxe, or markbass compressore. I'm also willing to sell it for $550obo+shipping or trade for a Fender Road Worn P in sunburst.

I'm open to offers. TRADED and GONE !!

Thanks
Ross

here's some pics, as promised. Not very good, but the best i could do with an old, crappy camera and a bad iphone camera. If anyone wants better photos i can try and borrow a friend's canon to take some:

FYI that is a standard US Hamer Cruise Bass from the 80's, they were all set neck and most had no pickguard.

Here is mine, of course the Alembic pups were not stock.
