FS/FT '97 Fender Roscoe Beck V Metallic Teal

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD '97 Fender Roscoe Beck V in Metallic Teal. The previous owner replaced the original pickguard with a pearloid one, which looks so much better, and also moved the strap button down a tick. I don't know why it was moved and it's impossible to tell from looking at it. I only found out because I put black Dunlop straplocks on it. I included a photo of the bottom straplock, as you can see the washer in between the bass and the button completely covers up the previous hole. There is also a tiny ding in the headstock, which you can see clearly in the photo. All in all it's a solid bass and one of the most comfortable five strings that I have ever played. All this can be yours in the original Fender tweed case for $1200 OBO shipped.

All PM's have been replied too. Sorry guys, I have no idea about the weight. I asked every one that I know if I could use their bathroom scale and nobody had one! I don't have one either. I would say that it weighs somewhere between really light and really heavy. If weight is that important to you PM me and I will see what I can to do get an accurate measurement. A lot of good trade offers but not enough cash, 6 strings, or Aguilar DB680s. Thanks!

Ok, sorry if that sounded rude, that was directed towards everyone, in the kindest way possible, that has asked about the weight. I will see what I can do.

Nah man, not at all.
Most likely I'm window shopping, but, weight has the possibility of ruling it right out for me.

thx;

That's a good weight for a RBV.

Here's a bump for you. I bought one of these about 2 months ago, and have absolutely loved it. This bass has a far greater range of sounds than one would expect. You can get a really nice P-bass sound out of it, a really "burpy" J tone, also a 'ray-like scooped tone with a huge bottom and a lot of top end zing. The B-string is like a sledgehammer hitting the room, and it's completely passive.
