FS/FT Alleva~Coppolo LM5

sold

Here's an Alleva Coppolo LM5 that I recently acquired. It's in fantastic condition and interestingly enough features a rosewood fingerboard. The body is, of course ash, and the color is transparent white. This bass is top notch, and from what I understand is one of the last of Jimmie's NYC basses. It comes with the Protec case I just finished an 11 song album, and played this bass on every song with the exception of one (upright). There's more than enough tone to go around, but at this point, I'd like to try for a 65 Precision, and don't have the budget for a massive collection.

BTW, this bass came to me with a Badass bridge which I swapped out for Jimmie's Hipshot. The action is really low now.

For outright sale, I'd like $3200 to your continental US door, in-terms of trades, I'd consider an LG5, since I've never had the pleasure, and obviously 65 or pre CBS Fender. If no one's interested, than I'd just assume hold-on to this bass, but If your looking for a Jazz that cooks, than this just might be it!

Looks like a killer Bass..
I played Dans bass for a short while and it felt great!

Best of luck finding it a new home!

If that was an LG you would have a paypal payment sitting in your in-box!

Send a message via AIM to west*coast*bass
I would be willing to bet that the name Mark Knell is written on the underside of those pickups. I think I was the first owner of that particular bass - and yes, it's from the NYC days. I was a complete FREAKIN' IDIOT for selling it. It is the only bass that I have ever regretted selling (if it's the one - which I am pretty sure it is).

Someone will get a KILLER bass. And hey, whoever buys it - if you ever decide to sell it will you please contact me first? I don't have the scratch available to buy it now.
