Can't edit the original post, so relisting.
Here's a top-o-the-line A-Bass Jade w/quilt top and ash back. Handmade by Albey Balgochian (one hell of a player and designer of the first Darryl Jones bass). This is one of the sweetest sounding Jazz basses I've ever owned (and I've owned a few!). The EMG JV's + Lakland Joe Osborn flats I put on it just give you that creamy, buttery vintage Jazz sound but without the noise of passive singles. Back of the neck has been given 2 coats of Tru-oil and 2 coats of Howards Feed-N-Wax. Super smooth and the action is low.
Bass has been played but is in very good condition with just minor cosmetic issues:
1) There is a business card size gap at the neck pocket (from taking the finish of the heel) but the neck joint is totally solid (a sideways tug will not move it at all)
2) The back of the neck/heel was previously finished in a strange graduated sunburst effect which I didn't like - I had it removed but the stain at the heel was much darker and didn't come out completely (which you can see in the pic of the back)
3) There are some finish chips around the neck plate and output jack
5) There are two wear spots through the finish on the fingerboard. The lacquer is very thin (Nitro I believe) - this is obviously purely cosmetic
