FS or FT - Bee Stinger 4 - beautiful woods!

Re-listing, as I am considering trades also at this point.

Incredible bass that Fred Bolton was going to use as a NAMM bass - but sold it to me before the show!

Woods used:
top- quilt maple
body- papua new guinea walnut
neck- rock maple
fingerboard- acrylized purpleheart

I bought it brand new from Fred - and it still looks that way.

Light - around 8 pounds.

Comes in a nice gig bag (came with the bass).

Would list at over $2,600 and would take months to get.

Sold my Stingray, so this one is staying put! No longer for sale.

The quilt on the face of this bass is the deepest, most detailed quilt I've seen. Much deeper than my 5A top Modulus.

Here come the pics!

Wow. Just Wow.

How does this play compared to your Q5? Just curious.

The quilt on this is great looking!! No doubt it looks even more fantastic in person!

I just received my Bee bass and am jumping with glee! You can't go wrong with one of these!

Bump also for a great TB'er!

The Modulus I have is a VJ Genesis (Jazz).

I think the Bee plays "easier" as I like the way it sits against your body better. Doesn't seem like I'm reaching as far for the first few frets.

Two different animals, both GREAT basses. As nice as the 5A quilt is on the Modulus - I think the quilt is deeper and more pronounced on the Bee.

It's true - the photos don't do it justice.

BTW - I just pulled in out to play. Starting to wonder why I'm selling!

ALSO - thanks for the comments, Liz!

Pulled it out last night.

Okay, I have to ask, are those horns as sharp as they look in the pictures?

More seriously, what electronics does it have?

With that prize it is worth buying, even if you live in europe! I almost regret that I ordered Jaydee few months ago, every time I watch this bass

From experience, the Delano pickups are capable of a variety of great sounds, including a vintage "growl" as well as more modern tones.

Thanks for the help, Liz!

It has the Bee preamp and the single MM Delano pickup.

Controls are volume, passive tone, treble, mid, bass.

For a single pickup bass, the range of tones is astonishing!

BTW - the horns aren't sharp! The BASS is SHARP!

You have spent paragraphs on the furniture quality of your bass and about 2 sentences on its sound and function as an instrument. Would you please address these 2 qualities. I mean, if it is a great bass, then it must sound and play like a great bass. And if it is easier to play than your Modulus, then why are you selling it rather than your Modulus? No disrespect intended but this is an instrument, not a dining room table.
