Then it was sold back to Brian at the Low End and not sure who has owned it since then to now. It has had atleast 4 owners that I know of... Killer bass.

Does it still have the tone knob pull for single coil and the bass tone pull for passive?

Here are shots when it was fretted:

The knobs were changed from the pic that I up loaded, Chris gave them to me... And the p/up covers that originally were on this bass started to split at the book match so I shipped it back and he did strips over the p/ups unbookmatched and lacquered the heck out of them.

I really hope thart bass was professionally defretted.. who in their right mind would attempt a defret on a bass of that caliber?!

Other than Chris himself, I mean.

And that Xotic is officially my new favorite Jazz-esque bass.. Wow.

Oh yeah it was done professionally alright, never occurred to me that this once was fretted. I must say it's really interesting to hear your basses history. I just bough it from Brian at lowend and now i know it's had this whole other life

Just got an email back from Brian at the low end shop, Chris Benavente Defretted the bass because both he and Brian thought it would make a better fretless with that pickup placement. And they were right
