FT: Black/Black/Maple '04 Stingray - 2 Band EQ

Edit: Pulled the for sale portion of the listing - looking for a trade only

I've had this for the last year or so and enjoyed the heck out of it, but it's time for something new.

Here are the facts:
  • Serial dates the bass to approximately 2003.
  • Has the 2-band EQ
  • Condition is very good - some small dings and scratches, mostly on the back
  • Weight is in the 10 pound range (9.8 on my bathroom scale)
  • Comes with original hardshell case

What I'm looking for:
  • Mesa Walkabout Combo
  • Music Man Bongo
  • 2008 or later American P Bass
  • Other 4 string basses, or amps with a similar character to the Walkabout

Willing to consider other bass/amp trades.

Thread where I got the bass is here.

Thanks for the offer. Only looking for a 4 stringer right now, so I'll have to pass.

On an unrelated front, I might consider the right G&L L2000 (maple board, mid/late 80s bi-cut neck preferred).

No longer for sale, trade only. See original post for updated trade fodder.

Not super picky about the color. Burst, black, charcoal frost, even white (I actually traded a white 2008 P bass for this Stingray). My only preference is for the new American Standards .

Back to the top. Still open to bass or amp trades. Prefer passive basses, and amps that can get a little dirty.

That's a beautiful bass! Unfortunately, at this point I'm looking more for a P-styled bass than another J (although I had a serious internal conversation about that one - love the body).

All other PM's replied - still available.

Back from vacation - still looking for the same trades.

In the interest of full disclosure, I do have a couple better pictures of the dings - one is down to wood, another is deep, but still under the finish.

This pic shows the "big" ding, with a dime for size comparison.

This picture shows the relative position of the two dings. The one above is on the lower edge a few inches to the left of the strap button. The other one is right at the edge of the belly contour. There is also some light belt buckle scratching that I couldn't get to photograph. As you can see from the other pics, neither is really noticeable from more than a few feet away.

The photo gallery in the OP has been updated to show detailed pictures of all the wear on this bass.

I'm leaning toward holding onto this for the time being, but figured it was worth one last bump.
